ECL Commencement Student Information

Tickets

Emails have been sent out to graduating students to RSVP and request guest tickets.

Due to space, we have a limit of 3 guest tickets per student.

Arrival Time

Students must arrive promptly at the Wililam and Ida Friday Center by 1:00pm on May 10th to enter the Trillium Room and check in. We strongly encourage students to come in their cap and gowns.

All guests must have their tickets with them to enter and will be seated by staff.

Students will enter the room through the right doors and guests through the left doors.

UNC’s clear bag policy will be in place. More information with specifications and prohibited items can be found here.

Seating

Undergraduate students are seated to the right of the auditorium (as you enter), with graduate students at the front. Students will not be seated in alphabetical order. If you would like to sit with another graduate, please ensure you are next to them in line for the processional.

Guests will be seated in every other section of the room.

Name (Pronunciation)

Please be aware that you will need to fill out a card to help us pronounce your name correctly in the ceremony. The cards will be provided to the graduating students to fill out when they pick up the tickets. Please ensure that you leave the card with staff.
